I’m “Mom,” and this is a “Senior
Citizen’s” dream come true, which proves that you are never too old, or too
young, to enjoy these wonderful little equines. Though I have worked with big
horses and various sizes of ponies for most of my life, this is my first
adventure with these engaging, intelligent and sense-of-humor-sporting little
horses. My first experience owning miniatures was in April 2006. They
immediately proceeded to win my heart, and I am sure yours, because here you are
visiting my website.
Each horse at “Mom’s Minis” has
been carefully selected for the award-winning combination of pedigree and
personality. Every horse is imprinted at birth and handled and loved every day,
365 days of the year. We are a small farm by intention, and we believe in
providing optimal physical and emotional health for our animals by giving
individual attention and social interaction with both humans and equines in a
normalized setting. We respect our horses' natural living preference by keeping
them in a herd setting and acknowledging their natural instincts in all of our
training.
Though we have chosen to
specialize in appaloosa miniatures, we will never sacrifice type, quality or
temperament to achieve color – hence our motto – "Spots with Class."
We promise that we will always
represent our horses honestly to the best of our knowledge and remain very
concerned that any sale of our animals will result in both a satisfied customer
and a happy horse. We love our horses and reserve the right to refuse to sell
any horse advertised as “for sale,” at any time and without providing a reason.
We are prepared to offer a price adjustment on multiple purchases and to our
repeat customers.
Special
Thanks
We would like to
especially thank Susan Sanford of
Indian Hill Farm in Middleboro, MA ,who
introduced us to our first miniature horse, the beautiful mare Sarah, who
started us on this wonderful adventure. Also, both thanks and admiration go out
to Barbara McDermott of JBR Ranch in
Christmas, Florida, who made it possible for us to own JBR Chocolate Chip, the
stallion upon whom our appaloosa breeding program will be based and whose talent
created this amazing web site for Mom’s Minis. These are only two of the many
who have contributed in making this dream a reality. These individuals are prime
examples of the wonderful people who love and promote the miniature horse and
are willing to extend this love and encouragement to those of us new to the
breed. Mom’s Minis salutes you!
